Professional learning and development

Professional learning and development

The MHRT recognises the importance of maintaining a membership cohort comprised of Members from a variety of backgrounds with various expertise, knowledge and skills. In addition, the MHRT strives to promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

To assist Members, the MHRT is committed to providing a comprehensive professional learning and development (also known as PL&D) program and has documented this program in the MHRT Professional Learning and Development Framework. The Deputy President is responsible for the oversight of professional learning and development for Members. It encompasses a wide range of activities designed to improve Members’ capabilities. Capabilities comprise not only the technical skills and knowledge people have, but also their attributes, attitudes and behaviours.

The MHRT relies on the MHRT Professional Learning and Development Committee to assist in guiding the nature and extent of professional learning and development activities and opportunities offered to Members.

Please be aware that all professional learning and development and resources are offered for training and reference purposes only. These resources are not intended to be prescriptive or authoritative, nor are they intended to replicate or replace the skill, knowledge and judgment of the Members of the MHRT.

These resources have been prepared for Members only. Please do not show or distribute these materials to third parties.

Should you have any questions about Members’ professional learning and development or any of the resources available, please contact MHRT.PLD@mhrt.qld.gov.au
